We care and make a positive difference.Summary:The Fraud Risk Management Lead will be instrumental in advancing NM's fraud prevention and detection program, collaborating across the enterprise to execute on anti-fraud strategic objectives and operationalize new anti-fraud capabilities as they're developed. A primary objective of the position is to provide subject matter expertise during fraud incident consultation with business area contacts, including reviewing control structures, providing guidance for control improvements, and overseeing fraud controls remediation. As a member of the Anti-Fraud Strategy Team, the candidate will also lead aspects of anti-fraud governance and strategy.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:Provides strategic and tactical input and develops recommendations for anti-fraud program and process improvements.Stays abreast of financial crimes risk trends, relevant regulations and compliance standards.Consults and collaborates with the investigative team and others as fraud incidents occur to provide expertise, guidance and thought leadership throughout the process.Analyzes control gaps and breakdowns and provides insights and recommends solutions to remediate.Leads and contributes to anti-fraud communications and training provided throughout the home office, Field and to clients.Coaches, mentors and develops peers and provides quality feedback.Assists with and supports fraud analytics and reporting and fraud technology efforts, as needed.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, business, computer science, or related field.Minimum of five years of experience in risk management, financial crimes, investigative, or compliance roles.Experience with fraud risk management, fraud assessment and fraud investigations highly desired.Excellent judgement, decision-making, analytical and interpersonal skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.High degree of organizational agility and comfort around senior leadership, demonstrated by the ability to influence, negotiate, communicate and collaborate with all levels of employees.Knowledge of risk and regulatory requirements as they apply to financial crimes is an asset.Prior experience and knowledge of NM products, services, and organization preferred.Compensation Range:Pay Range - Start:$84,350.00Pay Range - End:$156,650.00Northwestern Mutual pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement in the salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment.
