The Area Financial Controller is responsible for providing oversight for all financial and accounting activities at our FiDi and Brooklyn Locations, providing information that will help the executive team in making educated economic decisions about the Venues' operations. They will provide a wide variety of accounting services to other team members and guests in a friendly, courteous and professional manner to ensure guest satisfaction.The role will supervise and coordinate the Accounting Operations in the hotel to ensure accurate, timely and consistent reporting in accordance with policies and procedures, GAAP and federal, state and local laws and regulations. Assist and support the Controller in maintaining control over income, expenses and the assets and liabilities of the hotel. Position is responsible for the daily operation of Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Income Journal, General Cashiering, Taxes and internal controls. May recommend and implement operational changes.Key objectives:Ensure accuracy of the monthly and weekly reporting and commentsEnsure the Balance Sheet are reconciled properly every monthControl the cash position of the hotelImprove internal control of the hotelIdentify cost savingsSupport the GM in the management of the hotel and in providing insightful forecast and analytical reviewEnsure compliance with procedures in the Memorandum of UnderstandingEssential responsibilities include:MANAGEMENT REPORTINGResponsible for preparing the monthly reporting accurately and sending it timely to Regional OfficeResponsible for sending timely Weekly and Monthly revenue forecasts to Regional OfficeResponsible for maintaining daily cash flow forecastsBUDGET & FORECASTINGPrepare the annual budget of the hotel according to the guideline and timeline sent by Regional OfficeEnsure the forecast is updated every month and reflect revenue and expenses management actions being takenEnsure hotel is following the business plan and approved budget.Make all necessary recommendations in that matter.INTERNAL CONTROL & PROCEDURESEnsure the property complies with WIH internal control policyDevelop hotel detailed procedures regarding internal control, reflecting WH&R internal control policyDevelop and implement appropriate responses to accounting and control deficiencies identified in audits.Seniority levelExecutiveEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionManagement and FinanceIndustriesHospitality and Hotels and Motels#J-18808-Ljbffr
