Job DescriptionThe Warehouse Manager NYC role at Sound Investment ensures that all components of the warehouse are operating in unison to meet and maintain a high level of service to SI's clients. This includes various management, organization, and planning tasks to maintain high performance of the warehouse's storage and shipment processes. This position reports directly to the General Manager NYC.Core ResponsibilitiesMaintain the safety and cleanliness of our Brooklyn Shop in accordance with OSHA standards and New York State Labor LawCoordinate weekly crew booking commensurate with show volume and workloadCoordinate trucking logistics needed among active and future job sites across NYC, as well as subrentalsAssign tasks, utilize, and motivate crew efficiently to assure deadlines are met for packing, outbounding, and inbounding shipmentsAssure our Flex inventory is kept up-to-date and being operated properly by warehouse staff with the help of department headsGeneral shop supervision during shows in the event of emergency needsWork alongside our HQ warehouse in Chicago to manage transfer orders as neededInterface with project managers, operations, and department heads to ensure effective communications between production, shop, and techniciansTrack missing equipment as neededStock and maintain warehouse suppliesWork with management to improve shop operations based on budget, advisement, and best practicesAbility and certification to operate a forkliftAbility to drive trucks preferable but not required in the event of truck movement about the warehouse areaBasic QualificationsBachelor's or Associate's Degree preferred5 years of relevant work experienceValid driver's licenseCompensationThe compensation rate starts at $33 an hour and is based on experience.Company DescriptionSound Investment has become one of the fastest growing event solutions companies in the country.
