You will lead product development efforts for the collaboration and customer data management services that power Altana's user-facing applications. Altana applications are powered by the world's most comprehensive knowledge graph of the global supply chain and business network. As Altana builds workflows and products that connect businesses, governments, and service providers across this graph, you will be responsible for the core collaboration services, customer data onboarding and curation, and network editing experiences that enable product-led network growth and user-led graph editing and enrichment. If you are both technically grounded in data, machine learning, and system design disciplines, and strategically oriented in network effects, viral UX, and AI-centric workflows, then this role is perfect for you.This role covers three main areas of responsibility:Collaboration Services : You will be responsible for the core means of collaboration across Altana's platform: the systems for claiming and managing organizational profiles and managing user registries, the systems for communicating and linking data across organizations and their systems of record, and the commenting and chat functions that enable users to connect with each other both within an organization and across organizations. You will work with Altana's product line managers and designers to build delightful, intuitive, and engaging collaboration functionality that can be embedded across workflows and user experiences.Customer Data Onboarding : The core value proposition of Altana is that we situate our customers - and their data - within a shared knowledge graph of the global supply chain and business network, helping them to understand and manage their extended global value chain networks. To deliver on this value proposition, you will drive the systems for customer data ingestion, cleaning, normalization, and matching to Altana's knowledge graph. This involves close collaboration with our Product Line Managers for delivering scalable services across logistics, enterprise, financial services and government users and data types; it also involves close collaboration with our Artificial Intelligence team to leverage best-in-class AI systems for translating, de-duplicating, and matching customer data into our canonical knowledge graph.Network Editing and System of Record Curation : You will own the core functionality and capabilities for managing permissioned edits and annotations to the users' value chain system of record. This entails dynamically managing data updates from the customers' other systems and applications, along with dynamic updates of Altana's knowledge graph. You will work closely with the Knowledge Graph product team, and with our Product Line Managers, for delivering a platform capability for our users to manage and curate their own data and worldviews in combination with Altana's global network graph.As a member of the product team, this role will provide an incredible opportunity to interface with the founders, executives, and go-to-market teams to interact with our customers and evangelize our product vision and roadmap.Your ResponsibilitiesMaintain and deliver on a product roadmap for Altana's collaboration services and customer data management services, meeting the requirements of Altana's Product Line Managers delivering end-user applications, and the end-user requirements implied by their workflows and user experiences.Collaborate with Altana's design, graph platform engineering, delivery platform engineering, artificial intelligence, and Graph product management teams to align and coordinate workstreams in service of your roadmap.Maintain a deep, systems-level understanding of Altana's permissioning/RBAC technologies and deliver collaborative services and capabilities that respect sophisticated entitlement and security requirements of our government, enterprise, logistics, and financial service provider users.Co-own network virality/k-factor metrics with our design team, ensuring that the collaboration services and capabilities you deliver promote viral user and organizational growth across our network, rather than impede it.About YouYou come from a technical background, with fluency in data products.You are a systems thinker. You are familiar if not fluent in network effect strategies, and appreciate that excellent UX and excellent system design and architectures must go hand-in-hand to enable network effects.You are an excellent written and verbal communicator. You can synthesize complex topics and create clarity for your stakeholders.You are mission-driven. You are inspired to build the world's largest B2B and B2G user network on top of the world's most comprehensive map of the global supply chain.You have gone from zero to one before, helping to build something from scratch.
