Job TitleProduction Sr LeadLocationRomeovilleDepartmentProductionReporting toShift Supervisor / Production ManagerPosition Purpose To perform the assigned job as indicated by his/her supervisor in accordance to the Safety, QA and USDA rules. Key AccountabilitiesSupervise, direct, and monitor all production lines in accordance to the schedule, manpower, Quality Assurance, USDA guidelines and safety requirements. Drive continuous improvement and engagement of employees to achieve world class results. Assists Supervisor and may act as Supervisor when supervisor is unavailable.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for producing a quality product that meets all the Safety, USDA, QA, and Customer regulations.Effectively communicates as required with Manager. Ensures that all products are in compliance with QA and USDA standards. Continuously looking for production improvements, or better methods to facilitate work flow for all workers on the line without affecting required quality or safety standards.Assigns personnel in accordance to their capacity, ability and effort to perform their assigned jobs.Exhibits, at all times, a professional manner to obtain maximum collaboration and better labor performance. Ensures that all reports and documentation are correct and timely.Verifies that the ingredients and usage corresponding to a product are correct. Maintains and provides communication to all the workers with regard to the next day's production to assure that the workforce is prepared. Evaluate current operators and train new operators to ensure they follow proper SOP. Educate each Operators and Station Attendant in the proper performance of their particular job.Regularly train Leads and employees in methods of improving production processesContinuously trains workers on hygiene , safety rules to eliminate accidents, and how to read or review recipes.Resolves quality problems with QA participation immediately.Maintains effective communications between the Shift Manager and supervisors. Identifies significant issues related to quality, safety, down time, production problems or any other unexpected issues.Provides feedback to the production supervisor on any worker that does not comply with or respect the company rules or performs at an unacceptable level.Responsible for upholding, following and maintaining the requirements of the BRC Food Safety Code for Manufacturing.Other duties as may be assigned or volunteered for.Skills, Experience & QualificationsHigh School /Equivalent; Three years of food preparation experience and 1 year minimum of supervisory experience.College degree or courses toward and 5 years of food production experience preferred.Good communications skills, hard working, dependable, safety conscious and bilingual, English/Spanish preferredAble to communicate and make logical decisions.Walk the line and monitor events.Education, Technical Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Proficiency LevelRequiredHigh School /Equivalent; Three years of food preparation experience and 1 year minimum of supervisory experience.Good communications skills, hard working, dependable, safety conscious Able to communicate and make logical decisions.Good communications skills, hard working, dependable, safety consciousRead, write English and know basic math.
