About the Role Our client, a large government agency in the NYC metro area, is seeking a skilled Software Development Project Manager to drive software development initiatives that support major infrastructure programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development methodologies, extensive experience managing large-scale technology development projects, and exceptional leadership and stakeholder engagement abilities. Responsibilities Define project scope and deliverables across multiple software application development projects Develop comprehensive project plans including tasks, timelines, and resources needed Lead cross-functional teams of developers, analysts, program managers, and government agency stakeholders across the project lifecycle Partner with software engineering leaders to ensure technical specifications are met and engineering teams understand expectations and deliverables Identify potential project risks and mitigation strategies to ensure project success Serve as the primary point of contact for project teams and other stakeholders Oversee quality assurance procedures to ensure software applications meet requirements for performance and safety Develop and manage budgets to ensure efficient use of resources through all phases of each project Qualifications At least 8 years of experience in software development project management, preferably within a public sector setting Proven experience managing large-scale, complex software application development programs to support major infrastructure projects Strong understanding of software development methodologies and project management tools and approaches Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills with an emphasis on data-driven decision-making Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required; graduate degree and/or PMP certification preferred Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Project Management and Information Technology Industries Business Consulting and Services #J-18808-Ljbffr
