Vice President Finance

Job Title: Executive Director, Accounting & Finance Recruitment - Asset & Wealth Management A Venture Capital firm is in high growth mode and looking for a VP of Finance to lead its Finance and Accounting team and head up both fund accounting and FP&A. The VP of Finance will also refine the firm's finance function and get involved in special projects for the founder's family office. Responsibilities Report to: CFO About the Role: The Firm runs a lean Finance & Accounting organization comprised of a team of 4-5 people. They have been growing, which is prompting the CFO's efforts to identify an experienced VP Finance who will be responsible for leading the internal wealth management Accounting and finance organization, influence accounting policy and processes & refining the financial function covering the investment side of the firm. This individual will head up accounting and FP&A for venture capital at the firm, as well as get involved in special projects for Founder's Family Office. Direct Reports: The VP Finance will have a strong team, including a Controller (GL, Tax and Revenue), Investment Accountant, Revenue Accountant, and a Head of AP. Job Requirements Ideal Candidate will come with strong leadership, possess an active CPA, who will serve as the investment Accounting/Finance Guru to drive and help lead the company through its growth and navigate their external audit. Exposure to FP&A is highly desirable. 10+ years hands on fund accounting from small shop within PE/ VC funds and/or family office dealing with the investment side of the business. Bachelor's degree required.
