Key Responsibilities Test System Development: Design and implement automated and manual test systems for manufacturing processes.Develop and maintain test procedures, fixtures, and equipment.Ensure test systems comply with safety and quality standards. Process Optimization: Analyze test data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.Optimize testing processes to reduce cycle times and improve throughput. Troubleshooting and Support: Investigate test failures and resolve issues promptly to minimize production downtime.Provide training and support to production staff on test equipment and processes. Quality Assurance: Ensure test procedures align with product specifications and regulatory requirements.Develop and maintain documentation for test plans, protocols, and reports.Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.Serve as release engineer for our firmware. Nothing gets released to production hardware in the field without your say-so. Collaboration: Work closely with design engineers to develop Design for Testability (DFT) strategies.Partner with suppliers to specify and qualify test equipment and components.Coordinate with quality and production teams to ensure alignment on testing needs.Work with our contract manufacturer to train them on the tests and (alongside our embedded team) debug problems in testing. Requirements Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field. (2-5) years of experience in manufacturing testing, preferably in electronics, automotive, or a related field. Technical Skills At least 2 years of coding in a high-level language, ideally Python. Proficiency in test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and data acquisition systems. Experience with automated test software (e.g., LabVIEW, MATLAB, or similar tools). Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and methods (e.g., SPC, Six Sigma). Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Experience with PCB testing, RF testing, etc. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
