Transportation Engineer - ( 250000NB ) Description Transportation Engineer (Multiple Positions) (Stantec Consulting Services, Inc.; North Charleston, SC): Perform transportation planning studies, traffic operations analysis, traffic impact studies, speed studies, traffic signal timing analysis, crash analysis, and roadway safety audits. Prepare microsimulation modeling, roadway operations design, prepare signal timing plans, traffic management plans, signage plans, and pavement markings. Assist with traffic data collection and data analysis, write reports, and other technical assignments. Draft technical memoranda and provide traffic engineering and transportation planning input to projects within transportation disciplines. Attend client meetings and oversee fieldwork and data collection. Execute traffic engineering projects, including communicating with clients, preparing budgets, and mentoring junior staff. 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.). #LI-DNI #GTM Qualifications Requirements: Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience.; OR a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience. Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following: Traffic modeling; Traffic impact studies and analysis; Highway Capacity Software (HCS) and Synchro; Federal Highway Administration, AASHTO, and State DOT guidelines; and Applying regulations from Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices and the AASHTO Green Book. Must have an active U.S. Professional Engineer license. Telecommuting permitted 2 days a week, depending on business need. Travel to various locations throughout the US required up to 10%.
