Job Objective Our Stock Coordinator contributes to the success and smooth running of the showroom and ensure the efficient and professional running of the stock room in accordance with the systems and Company procedures. The Stock Coordinator provides the highest standard of service to showroom colleagues. Responsibilities Present an informative and helpful image to the showroom colleagues Check off all deliveries when they arrive in the Stock Rooms in an efficient and timely manner, ensuring the deliveries tally with the paperwork and passing all paperwork with any shortages, overages or damaged items clearly highlighted, to the appropriate manager. Unpack all deliveries putting stock into the correct locations ensuring all stock is safely stored and easily accessible in line with H&S guidelines. Maintain an accurate knowledge of stock and locations. Ensure stock is rotated on a regular basis, ensuring all stocks remain clean and saleable as per the stock care charter. Supply stock to the showroom on a daily basis, advising the manager of any items which are not available. Liaise with the showroom sales team regarding their deliveries. Liaise with delivery staff and (other delivery companies) as necessary; advising them of any access issues or other communication that may affect them. Pack up and have ready for collection all damaged and excess stock, transfers for going back to the Distribution Center Pack up and have ready for collection all stock to be returned to suppliers or collected by suppliers, ensuring all paperwork and security checks are actioned accordingly. Complete any paperwork as instructed, in an accurate, efficient and timely manner, ensuring all filing is kept up to-date and in good order. Ensure the carrier bags and other shop floor consumables are kept stocked up with all necessary. Keep the area tidy and readily accessible by all and supply the showroom as required. Keep the Stock Rooms in an organized and presentable condition. All areas should be cleaned on a regular basis and all bins emptied as required. Ensure all aisles and through routes are kept clear and free of stock at all times - particular attention must be paid to all fire escape routes. Report any build-up of rubbish or blockages (in any part of the building) to a member of management immediately. Ensure all computers and lights are switched off at the end of the working day and that the Stock Rooms are ready for the following day's business activity. Follow all security procedures to ensure a high level of security is maintained at all times; all Stock Room doors are kept closed and no unauthorized persons allowed into the Stock Rooms unaccompanied. Ensure that the trolleys are operating efficiently and that any defects or problems that may affect the day-to-day running of the Stock Rooms are advised to the line manager. Actively be involved in improving storage and stock control systems and suggesting improvements in the overall layout and organization of the Stock Rooms as they become apparent. Be fully conversant with all procedures and policies of the regent street showroom policies and procedures. Carrying out any reasonable task and directed by management Role/Department/Showroom Specific Responsibilities Be responsible for your own health & safety and that of your colleagues, in accordance with the Health & Safety guidelines and policies Attend departmental meetings Recommend changes to systems and procedures to improve the efficiency of the floor. Continually review operational practices to ensure best practice is delivered at all times. Support in all aspects of the client experience and individual client journey. Work in accordance with the Data Protection Act and to ensure all new systems and data are secure. Knowledge and Skills Required Education * High school diploma or higher Experience * Have had at least 12 months experience in warehouse / stock room work or either front or back of house retailing * Knowledge of legal requirements surrounding their role particularly in the areas of Retail law, Health & Safety, & Security.
