The successful candidate will be responsible for networking with a diverse range of customers, including utilities, commercial, and industrial entities, to foster strong relationships and identify business opportunities. This role involves leading the development of proposals, marketing materials, and innovative power sales structures. The VP will also be expected to provide market intelligence, contribute to the company's business plan, and work with regulatory and policy experts to ensure the incorporation of relevant changes into the corporate strategy. Applicants must have a minimum of 8 years' experience in energy origination, with a focus on storage, and a proven track record of sales within specific North American power markets. Key qualifications include the ability to structure, negotiate, and execute contracts in a power marketing role within the renewable sector, as well as established relationships with buyers such as utilities and commercial and industrial customers. A strong working knowledge of US power markets, including ISO, RTO, and bilateral energy markets, is essential. The role requires a strategic thinker who can contribute to the company's mission of decarbonizing the grid and making energy markets more sustainable and efficient.
