By leveraging cutting-edge data science and AI, the company is transforming bioprocessing to accelerate digital innovation in the life sciences industry.About the RoleThe company is seeking a Digital Product Leader, Data Science to define, develop, and drive the go-to-market strategy for digital transformation and data science products within the bioprocessing domain. This strategic leadership role will shape the company’s data science strategy and deliver impactful, data-driven solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesPositioning data science as a core driver of business growth and innovation by developing and executing a comprehensive strategy aligned with company objectives.Driving the adoption of emerging technologies, such as AI, machine learning, and IoT, to accelerate digital transformation.Identifying opportunities to leverage data science and AI to solve key challenges in bioprocessing, including process optimization, quality control, and predictive analysis.Translating market insights and customer feedback into well-defined product requirements and roadmaps.Collaborating with data scientists, engineers, and bioprocessing domain experts to ensure the successful development and deployment of data products.Partnering with marketing and sales teams to effectively communicate the value proposition of data product offerings to potential customers.QualificationsSignificant experience in technology or product leadership, with a strong focus on data science, AI/ML, or analytics products, ideally within the life sciences or biopharmaceutical industry.Strong foundation in data science, data mining, machine learning, statistical modeling, and visualization.Proven experience in applying advanced data science techniques to solve real-world challenges.Solid understanding of the bioprocessing industry, including unit operations such as cell culture, chromatography, and filtration, as well as industry standards and challenges.Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.Ability to think strategically, define product vision and roadmaps, and translate market insights into actionable product requirements.A Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Bioinformatics, Bioengineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field; a PhD is a plus.Experience with data visualization tools is also a plus (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).Tech StackBackend: Python, GraphQL, MySQL, RedisFrontend: Next.js with TypeScript, ReactInfrastructure: AWS / GCPCollaboration Tools: GitHub, Linear, Slack, NotionData Science ToolingLibraries: Scipy, PyTorch, Pandas, JaxGCP Tools: BigQuery, Gemini / Vertex AI, LookerDoE Design: JMPThis is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of digital transformation in bioprocessing.
