If you are interested in an environment built on ownership, diversity of thought, and pushing the limits of what is possible, then we would be interested in you. $70,000 - $80,000 a year Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and proactive System Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between lab support and the power crew, provide essential training and support, and ensure seamless operations in our testing labs. Key Responsibilities: Lab Support and Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison between lab support and the power crew. Provide on-site support during employee absences to maintain lab stability. Manage, plan, and schedule all common resources (space, power, cooling, cabling, etc.) in the lab environment. Troubleshoot layer 0, 1, and 2 lab-related issues to resolution. Training and Documentation: Conduct training sessions on optical installations and related processes. Regularly update online documentation to reflect current practices and configurations. Participate in design discussions. Engage third-party turf vendors to assist with layer 0, 1, and 2 as required by projects. System Configuration and Set-Up of Testing Environment: Configure and set up D2 servers, BBUs, and WiFi systems as needed. Set up and configure Ethernet Control Attenuators and IP phones. Asset Management: Maintain accurate rack elevations of all RAN equipment in the labs. Collect and document asset and serial number information for lab equipment, ensuring accurate entry into NetBox. Design and Documentation: Develop and maintain CPRI and OAM cabling designs and documentation. Knowledge of data cabling specifications, characteristics, and termination of various cable types. General knowledge of rack and stack practices. General knowledge of power cabling and distribution. Qualifications: Proven experience in system engineering, particularly in a lab environment. Strong understanding of RAN equipment, server configurations, and network systems. Familiarity with optical installations, CPRI, and OAM cabling. Proficient in asset management tools like NetBox.
