The successful candidate will be responsible for providing visionary leadership and strategic oversight of all natural resource stewardship and agroecology initiatives. This role involves conceiving, developing, and implementing environmental restoration and conservation programs that address national and global nature and climate issues. The Deputy Executive Director will also be tasked with leading a team to manage agricultural and natural lands for maximum biodiversity, developing and promoting science-based research, and building partnerships for significant research and policy development. Applicants for the Deputy Executive Director position at The Company should have an established track record in environmental science, ecology, natural resource management, or a related field. A PhD or equivalent experience is preferred. The role requires an individual with a strong understanding of natural climate solutions, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable agriculture practices, as well as a demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset and a proven ability to build high-impact partnerships. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, and be capable of representing the organization as a thought leader in conservation, agroecology, and climate resilience at various forums.
