The CFO will be responsible for providing strategic financial guidance, ensuring fiscal compliance, and managing the financial resources to support the achievement of program goals. This includes overseeing financial reporting, cash flow management, budget, grant, and contract management, as well as coordinating audits and implementing internal controls. The successful candidate will also be tasked with fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the finance team. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a CPA or MBA preferred. A proven track record in progressive financial leadership, particularly in a nonprofit setting, is essential. The role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, nonprofit accounting, and compliance requirements, as well as strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills. The CFO will be expected to have a high level of proficiency in spreadsheet software and knowledge of budget and strategic plan development best practices.
