Chief Data Officer of Record Retention & Associate Vice President About the Company Well-established banking organization IndustryBanking TypePrivately Held About the Role The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President and Chief Data Officer of Record Retention to provide strategic direction and management of the planning, development, and implementation of various projects and initiatives in support of the record retention program. The successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening the record coordinator role within the organization, ensuring that all record coordinators maintain and monitor the accuracy of the records their department creates and uses. This includes performing record retention training, advocating for the incorporation of record retention across all operations, and maintaining and distributing the record retention procedure. Key responsibilities also include conducting annual reviews of the record retention schedule, monitoring departmental compliance, and enforcing adherence to the record retention procedure. The role involves collaboration with the technology and executive office to oversee the inventory of the organization's records, as well as being the liaison with other departments on all record retention activities. The ideal candidate will also be involved in managing the design of the organization's SharePoint site, proposing content for information management, and creating SharePoint governance policies and procedures. Additionally, the role supports the assessment, procurement, and rollout of key records management solutions and software technologies. The role requires a professional with a strong background in record retention and management, including experience in training, policy development, and compliance monitoring. The candidate should be adept at working with cross-functional teams, particularly in the areas of technology and executive management. A proactive approach to ensuring the accuracy and compliance of records, as well as the ability to effectively communicate and advocate for record retention practices, is essential.
