This leadership position is focused on designing, building, and leading the first customer-facing team in the U.S. in preparation for the launch of a product in the late stages of development. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing a go-to-market strategy, leading national commercial sales and account management efforts, and ensuring the team is well-prepared to meet and exceed revenue targets. The role demands a self-starter with a proven track record in sales, particularly in the rare disease space, and the ability to inspire and collaborate with the organization to achieve commercial success. Candidates for the VP, US Head of Sales role at the company should possess strong strategic agility, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. A solid understanding of the industry's regulatory, market access, and commercial requirements is essential, as is the ability to simplify complex scientific concepts. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (MBA desired), at least 20 years' experience in sales and sales leadership, and a proven track record in launching competitive rare disease therapies. Experience in immunology, HAE, ATTR, or gene/cell therapies, as well as a background in building high-performing sales teams and a passion for a startup environment, are also highly valued.
