The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and expanding the corporate government relations function, with a focus on advancing the company's public policy agenda at the federal, state, and local levels. This role involves building and maintaining the company's presence as a thought leader in the policy and political spheres, particularly on issues relevant to the data storage and semiconductor industries. The Vice President will be tasked with developing and executing strategies to promote the company's public policy priorities, as well as shaping public dialogue on critical business and technology issues. A key aspect of the position is to establish and leverage relationships with government officials, industry groups, and other stakeholders to support the company's business objectives. Applicants for the Vice President position should have a Bachelor's degree in law, government, public policy, or a related field, with at least 15 years' experience in government relations, preferably within a multinational corporate environment. The role requires a candidate with a strong network of bipartisan relationships in Washington, D.C., and a deep understanding of the federal legislative and regulatory processes. Experience in the data storage or semiconductor industries, particularly in the policy area, is highly valued. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing a high-performance team, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels.
