The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the robust design and execution of translational studies, including those in humans, and will be accountable for the integration of scientific discoveries into effective patient treatments. Candidates for this position should have an advanced degree (MD or MD/PhD) with a preference for training in general or internal medicine, and at least 8-10 years of relevant drug development experience in the biotech or pharma industry. A track record of scientific achievement, clinical experience, and a background in metabolic diseases are essential, with a preference for experience in neuroscience. The role demands strong leadership skills, the ability to work in a global, multicultural environment, and a proven track record of building and leading effective teams.
