The successful candidate will be responsible for developing an integrated approach to quality and patient safety, as well as managing all aspects of quality management, risk management, medical staff services, and patient safety. This role involves serving as an expert resource in clinical quality, patient safety, and regulatory and performance improvement issues, and requires close collaboration with the senior leadership team, quality committee, medical executive committee, and the board of trustees. The Vice President of Quality will also be tasked with coordinating activities related to clinical excellence, process improvement, and regulatory readiness, and will be the primary contact for regulatory agencies. Applicants for the Vice President of Quality position at the company should hold a current California Registered Nurse license, with a Bachelor's degree required and a Master's degree and CPHQ certification preferred. A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in quality management and hospital management is also required. The role demands a professional with a strong background in nursing theory, practice, and administration, as well as the ability to provide leadership and support for quality assurance and performance improvement programs.
