The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of activities, including but not limited to, policies, curriculum and program development, retention initiatives, strategic planning and assessment, compliance and accreditation activities, resource development, and professional development for faculty and staff. This role demands a dynamic leader with a strong academic background, exceptional project management skills, and a deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Associate Provost will work closely with the Provost, Deans, and Institutional Research to create and implement best practices for data-driven program review, and will be a key figure in the College's efforts to close the equity gap and support the success of all students. Candidates for the Associate Provost position should have a minimum of 7 years' of relevant experience in higher education, with a focus on academic and student success. A Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree is preferred. The role requires a professional who is adept at collaborating with a diverse set of stakeholders, managing multiple projects, and is a strong communicator with excellent diplomatic skills. Experience in areas such as instructional and curricular innovation, guided pathways, and a proven track record in improving student learning outcomes, particularly for students of color, is highly valued. The ideal candidate will also have a background in academic assessment, programmatic accreditation, and a demonstrated ability to lead and manage in a complex, diverse academic environment.
