Life at Ware Malcomb As a Senior Project Manager at Ware Malcomb, you will deliver innovative design projects to diverse clients through all phases. You will lead internal and external teams, be financially responsible for projects by adhering to budgets and workplans, and oversee the development of contract documents. As the primary client contact, your leadership and exceptional client service ensures project success. This position would work on workplace, retail, and/or other commercial projects that bridge Interior Design and Architecture. Your Role Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate phases of the project (Typical: Conceptual, Schematic, Design Development, Construction Document, and Construction services). Preparation of project schedules. Discuss project health both administratively and technically with their operations leader. Alert the Business Operations Manager to any changing project conditions that need to be elevated to office leadership. Maintain project planner for all phases of their projects and update them each week to discuss during their weekly staffing meetings with studio leadership. Issue add services and get them approved in a timely manner prior to starting work on additional scope for any of their projects. Utilize the company's resource groups for design, preparation of design and construction documents. Provide construction services (Site visits, review shop drawings, etc.). Coordinate with the contracts team for the successful execution of the project contract. Represent WM at required jurisdiction public design review or development approval meetings and project presentations when required. Assemble the consultant team for the project (Identify scope of work, collect fees, select consultants, and facilitate contracts) as required. Assist the studio leader and be a resource and mentor to junior project members within the office. Assist in writing and reviewing proposals and the consultant team with the studio leader. Coordinate with the accounting team regarding accounts receivable, consultants payable, and invoicing. Coordinate the project consultants through all phases of the project. Work with the QC studio, peer reviewer, or dedicated Project Architect to review all phases of the contract documents prior to issuance. Qualifications 10+ years of experience managing ground-up commercial architecture projects Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, or related field Licensed Architect or in the licensure process preferred AutoCAD and Revit skills Knowledge of Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and Newforma Thorough knowledge of building codes Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to coordinate a complete set of contract documents Established in 1972, Ware Malcomb is a contemporary and expanding full-service design firm providing professional architecture, planning, interior design, civil engineering, branding, and building measurement services to corporate, commercial/residential developer and public/institutional clients throughout the world.
