Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with water/wastewater experience to join our growing Resilience Water team in Western NY! This position may report to our Buffalo, Syracuse, or Rochester, NY office. As a Senior Engineer, you will utilize your expertise and technical knowledge for design and construction to execute a variety of water and wastewater projects. You will also manage design teams and mentor junior engineers. You will be a critical team member and be expected to support the performance of the Syracuse, Rochester, or Buffalo, NY offices and engage with the broader Texas team. This role sits within our global business area of Resilience. We work to protect our natural environment and water resources while powering our world for future generations. The rate at which we're seeing large-scale, unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires is becoming more frequent. In this role, you'll play a key part in driving client development, shaping strategic positioning, and developing winning proposals and presentations for water and wastewater design projects. You'll team up with Area Leaders and Client Account Leaders to define project scopes and fee estimates, setting the stage for successful and profitable project delivery. Additionally, you'll manage risks, assemble top-notch project teams, and oversee essential activities to ensure project success. Additional responsibilities include: Leading projects and clients in the planning, design, and construction of water/wastewater treatment plants, distribution/collection systems, and pump/lift stations, as well as creating construction documents, project specifications, and handling construction oversight/administration. Managing a range of projects for various clients in the region. Responsibilities will include managing budgets and delivery schedules for each assignment, and leading project teams to meet the project deliverables. Working directly, when assigned, with clients to determine needs and provide solutions. Supporting the work of others and mentoring junior-level engineers & design/drafting technical staff. Coordinating multi-disciplined engineering teams. Supporting the development of small to large design projects from inception to completion. Ensuring project compliance with all Arcadis practices and quality and safety standards. Traveling, as needed, for client meetings, project site visits, etc. Qualifications & Experience: Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or related field 10 years of related industry experience in the water/wastewater field Key Skills and Attributes: Flexible to work with different project teams present locally and across remote offices Self-motivated in improving team and personal performance Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Engineering 15 years of water/wastewater industry-related experience PE License in New York and/or in other nearby states #J-18808-Ljbffr
