As a Principal Engineer supporting cyber resiliency at T-Mobile, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our most critical assets and ensuring their resilience against cyber attacks! Your responsibilities will include asset management, backups, and recovery testing. You will drive the strategy to protect T-Mobile's critical infrastructure and services, ensuring they are robust and resilient to high-impact cyber threats. Responsibilities Develop and implement strategies for asset management, backups, and recovery testing. Classify critical assets and ensure they are immutably backed up and recoverable. Conduct tabletop exercises and recovery tests to validate the effectiveness of backup and recovery processes. Build strategy and documentation for Incident Response, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery Planning. Collaborate with multi-functional teams to ensure alignment on cyber resiliency objectives. Drive continuous improvement in cyber resiliency practices and processes. Conduct threat modeling to identify vulnerabilities and potential attack vectors. Anticipate, identify, and address issues with timelines. Optimize multi-functional partnership to address critical telco backup and recovery requirements. Lead information security review of new technologies, designs, and remediation planning efforts. Collaborate with Engineering & Operations Teams to address telco security vulnerabilities. Proactively identify process or technology improvements within existing legacy applications or infrastructure. Investigate and recommend plans/resolutions for security needs. Maintain visibility inside & outside of information security at the Executive level. Proactively identify areas that need development and seek out expertise. Lead security projects driven by groups internal and external to info security. Mentor peers and junior team members in security technologies and effective customer interaction. Domain expert in multiple facets of network & information security. Advanced understanding of IP/Security solutions applicable to the Wireless Network Architecture. Responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management. Education Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent work experience. Work Experience 7-10 years' experience with increasing responsibility in security-related software and/or business process design. 4-7 years' experience in project/team lead roles and facilitation of multi-functional solution design teams. 4-7 years' technical project management experience. Experience with incident response and recovery planning. Previous leadership experience. Expertise in multiple security subject areas. Experience with high-level design architecture, security technologies, networking, web services, and SOA. Domain expert in all facets of network & information security. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Deep understanding of firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection, and secure architecture design. Expertise in conducting threat modeling to identify vulnerabilities. Knowledge of current technological trends in info security. Ability to create technical specifications and work independently. Strong verbal and communication skills with diverse groups. Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks. Knowledge of security standard processes in large-scale environments. Strong presentation skills. Understanding of Malware Protection, Advanced Persistent Threats, SIEM, and other security technologies. Advanced knowledge of scripting tools. Knowledge of federal & compliance regulations (e.g., SOX, PCI, CPNI). License/Certification (Preferred) Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). CISSP and/or CCSK and/or CCSP and/or CISA/CISM certification a plus. Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience.
