Legal Counsel - U.S. Customs & Import Compliance (100% Remote)Our Customer's mission is to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together. Through their family of apps and services, they are building a different kind of company that connects billions of people around the world, gives them ways to share what matters most to them, and helps bring people closer together.Our Customer is seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Legal Counsel - U.S. Customs & Import Compliance to support their U.S. import and customs work. This role will provide counsel to internal clients on US customs and import laws, including import and tariff classification, country of origin determinations, and country of origin marking/labeling requirements. The role will be based in the U.S. and can work from one of their offices in NY, SF, Menlo Park, Chicago, Austin, Washington DC; or work remotely. We are looking for someone to join as soon as possible.Qualifications3+ years experience counseling on US customs and import laws, either at a law firm and/or in-houseExperience with interpreting and counseling on U.S. and international customs exemptionsExperience conducting import classification, country of origin (COO) determinations, and COO labelingExperience responding to customs inquiries including CF-28sNICE TO HAVE:5+ years experience; and experience with medical device importationWe offer a competitive salary range for this position.
