Overview The D405 Digital Enterprise (DE) Organization is searching for a highly-motivated problem solver, with a passion for knowledge capture and project management, to fulfill the role of the Systems Engineer. Electric Boat's (EB's) Digital Enterprise is the set of digital tools, processes and procedures which utilizes, but is not limited to, Siemens Teamcenter Product Life-cycle Management (PLM) and NX Computer Aided Design (CAD) for the design, planning, material procurement, construction, certification, and maintenance of our submarines. The expectation of this role is that the candidate gains data transfer knowledge supporting current and future programs to drive advanced innovation. Primary Responsibilities: Being the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) of data transfer (including: model-based data, various file types, transfer methods) Be knowledgeable in the current technology and limitations surrounding data transfer Identify gaps and opportunities for advancing and streamlining data transfer processes and driving improvements into future business processes Developing and carrying out testing of data transfer capabilities and processes Engage with Information Technology (IT) and other key stakeholders in delivering data transfer advancements The successful candidate will be detail oriented, customer-focused, have excellent project management and communication skills, and is able to quickly support demands of changing priorities. The successful candidate must be skilled at investigating, testing and clearly communicating EB recommendations (both written and verbal), and resolution of tasking through completion. Work Arrangements: EB offers Flexible Work Arrangements that allow some work to be performed remotely at home. This varies from position to position based on the amount of classified material the department interacts with as well as a few other variables. Qualifications Required: Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering or Computer Science (Alternate engineering degrees will be considered) Minimum 4 years of experience in DE, IT, Engineering, Program Office, Process Improvement or equivalent Minimum 4 years of professional experience in shipbuilding or equivalent Preferred: Experience with managing projects to completion Experience working with Design and Engineering, Information Technology and/or Program Office Experience developing and conducting tests Experience with CAD and PLM Skills: Well-developed communication (verbal and written), organizational, and time management skills Detail oriented Proven ability to solve problems independently and work collaboratively with teammates Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.), PLM toolset #J-18808-Ljbffr
