Job Overview As a Principal Engineer supporting resiliency for cloud infrastructure and identity at T-Mobile, you will play a critical role in ensuring the robustness and security of our cloud environments and identity management systems! Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and maintaining resilient cloud infrastructure and identity solutions to protect T-Mobile's critical assets from cyber threats. In this role, you will collaborate with various teams to develop and implement strategies for cloud infrastructure and identity resiliency. You will be responsible for conducting risk assessments, implementing standard processes for cloud security, and ensuring the integrity and availability of identity management systems. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining the security and continuity of T-Mobile's services. Responsibilities Develop, architect, and implement strategies for cloud infrastructure and identity resiliency. Conduct risk assessments and implement standard methodologies for cloud security. Ensure the integrity and availability of identity management systems. Collaborate with multi-functional teams to align on resiliency objectives. Drive continuous improvement in cloud infrastructure and identity resiliency practices. Conduct threat modeling to identify vulnerabilities and potential attack vectors. Build strategy and documentation for Incident Response, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery Planning. Optimize multi-functional partnership to successfully address cloud and identity requirements. Lead information security review of new technologies, designs, and remediation planning efforts. Collaborate with Engineering & Operations Teams to address cloud and identity security vulnerabilities. Proactively identify process or technology improvements within existing legacy applications or infrastructure. Investigate and/or lead identifying security needs & recommend plans/resolutions. Maintain visibility inside & outside of information security at the Executive (Director/Sr Director) level. Significant experience with analysis of underlying technologies for threat identification and analysis. Proactively identify areas that need development and seek out expertise in those areas. Lead security projects driven by groups both internal and external to info security. Mentor peers and junior team members in security technologies. Domain expert in multiple facets of network & information security. Advanced understanding of IP/Security solutions & technologies applicable to Wireless Network Architecture. Education Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent work experience. Work Experience 7-10 years of experience with increasing responsibility in security-related software and/or business process design (Required). 4-7 years of experience in project/team lead, Cloud and Identity expertise, and facilitation of multi-functional solution design teams (Preferred). 4-7 years of Technical Project Management (Preferred). Proficiency in Azure, AWS, AD, Entra, and CyberArk. Experience with developing and implementing incident response plans, disaster recovery strategies, and business continuity plans. Previous leadership experience (Preferred). Domain expert in multiple security subject areas (Preferred). Experience with high-level design architecture, security technologies, networking, web services, and SOA (Preferred). Authority in all facets of network & information security (Preferred). Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Deep understanding of firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection, and secure architecture design. Expertise in conducting threat modeling to identify vulnerabilities and potential attack vectors. Significant knowledge of current technological trends and developments in info security. Ability to create technical specifications and work independently. Strong verbal and communication skills with diverse multi-functional groups. Ability to plan, organize and prioritize tasks to complete independently. In-depth knowledge of security standard processes in large-scale environments. Understanding of load balancers, Malware Protection, Advanced Persistent Threats, SIEM, and other technologies. Expert understanding of T-Mobile's network elements. Advanced knowledge of scripting tools (Python/Perl/Shell/HTML/PHP). Knowledge of federal & compliance regulations (e.g., SOX, PCI & CPNI). Licenses and Certifications Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and/or CCSK and/or CCSP and/or CISA/CISM certification a plus (Preferred). Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) (Preferred). Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) (Preferred). • At least 18 years of age• Legally authorized to work in the United States Travel :Travel Required: Yes DOT Regulated :DOT Regulated Position: NoSafety Sensitive Position: No Base Pay Range: $127,800 - $230,700 Corporate Bonus Target: 20% The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The actual starting pay will vary based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience.
