We assess risk, proactively identify classes of issues, detect potential intrusion, and mitigate the risk. What we do: The Amazon Business Security Team works closely with Amazon teams to secure their products and services for customers. This includes all areas such as Health, Games, Media, Entertainment, Payments, Devices, and Services. Here we identify opportunities that require both proactive and reactive solutions to keep Amazon systems and data secure on behalf of the Amazon customer. Our internal customers range from security engineers who need a comprehensive understanding of Amazon systems and their security state, to service teams who need solutions that make it easy to build and operate secure systems. What you will do: You will work closely with partner security teams to ensure the needs of our customers are clearly understood and effectively addressed. You will disambiguate complex topics and work with Principals across Amazon to accurately identify solutions that keep Amazon secure. You will collaborate with the senior leadership team to drive key engineering and business decisions that achieve the right outcomes. You will help drive work forward across numerous security and engineering teams. What we are looking for: You must be hungry to and willing to drive on your own while leveraging the help of your core team. Successful candidates for this position must have experience working with teams to understand their needs, decompose those needs into executable roadmaps, and drive execution to deliver the best outcomes. They must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, be self-driven, able to dive deep into the technical designs, and ensure delivery in a fast-paced environment. You will have a strong customer obsession, working to deeply understand the needs of our customers and relentlessly looking to improve their experience and make them more productive. Previous Applications Security experience is a requirement. Key job responsibilities: Build and contribute to roadmap: Identify internal customer needs, technology/industry trends, challenges, use cases, trends, and related services to help build a roadmap of studies to evaluate and improve the end customer experience. Manage ambiguity: Independently take steps necessary to understand complex technologies and customer use cases across a variety of customer personas and product categories to produce meaningful insights that drive improved customer experience. Lead large and complex studies: Design and build proof of concept experiments based on common customer use cases to evaluate the end-to-end customer experience. Own the full study lifecycle, including scoping, design, data collection and analysis, and presenting a comprehensive written narrative of insights and recommendations to senior leadership to drive improvements. Collaborate with stakeholders: Work with internal technical stakeholders (e.g., technical product managers, software developers, solution architects, business intelligence teams) to execute studies and work cross-functionally with peers/colleagues globally to support training, best practices, and shared opportunities. Focus on customers: Stay connected to customer trends, needs, and pain points in the cloud space. Collaborate with customer researchers to deliver customer insights that identify and drive customer experience improvements. Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules Experience in system design Preferred Qualifications: Ability to prioritize projects, tasks, and deliverables and manage dynamic priorities Technical Program Management experience influencing leadership and driving automation and standardization.
