Security Personnel On-site Security Personnel is responsible for assisting Lazy River Products' security functions, including physical security and safety of employees, facilities, and assets. Security Personnel is also responsible for assisting in all aspects of physical security, loss prevention and protection of company assets and employees at Lazy River Products. This position reports directly to the Security Manager. Core Tasks and Responsibilities - Conducts daily Security Patrols throughout the facility identifying hazards or safety concerns, checking locks and securing doors per the Security Patrol Point Checklist. Assists with enforcing and deploying established emergency, safety and security procedures and updates these plans, as necessary. Provides critical feedback to the Security Manager on any improvements relating to the buildings' safety and security. Verifies a valid government-issued photo ID, Checks-in and Escorts and/or accompanies building contractors and visitors against manifest. Maintain accurate daily shift logs of activities, incidents, and security system functionality. Monitor alarms, cameras, and primary contacts on call list. Maintain the integrity of the security system, including codes and functionality. May assist in managing relationships with 3rd party vendors including building inspectors. Monitor customers, visitors, and employees in all phases of daily routines. Completes incident reports as needed and communicates concerns to Security Manager. Prevent crisis situations from escalating by intervening and counseling employees and/or customers. Provide support and assistance in a variety of situations. Maintain a continuous state of alertness to ensure the highest safety standards for customers, fellow employees, products, and the facility. Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge on state and local laws pertaining to adult-use marijuana and dispensing adult-use marijuana. Follow established LRP policies and procedures at all times. Additional duties as assigned. Education and Experience - Minimum of 2 years of proven security experience in a related field (highly regulated) is required. Previous law enforcement preferred. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. College Degree preferred. Previous supervisory experience is a plus. Advanced training or certification in safety and security preferred. Multilingual abilities to assist a diverse customer base is a plus. Knowledge - Administrative"” Knowledge of administrative tasks and inventory database. Computer Software"” Knowledge of Windows OS, basic computer navigation, and Office 365 applications such as Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel. Knowledge and understanding of state and local cannabis laws and how they apply to the operations of Lazy River Products. Public Safety and Security"” Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions. Physical Requirement/Work Environment - Vertically Integrated Cannabis Facility Work environment. Ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly. Ability to de-escalate situations effectively. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and monitoring surveillance equipment. Ability to go up and down multiple flights of stairs, multiple times per shift. Ability to perform patrols outside in all weather conditions, year-round. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. Additional Requirements - Must be 21 years of age or older and comply with all legal or company regulation requirements for working in the industry. Ability to work weekends and holidays if necessary. Reliable transportation.
