Read more at ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY The Chief Campaigns and Brand Officer (CCBO) is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive creative, communications and engagement strategy to enhance the organization's visibility, engage relevant stakeholders, and drive impact for our mission. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in marketing, campaigns, creative and strategic communications, brand management, and digital engagement, and with connections to major global brands, news outlets and publications. The CCBO will conceptualize, develop and implement dynamic strategies that build and support the ONE brand to create and reinforce the organization's innovative image and mission globally. The successful candidate will be a hard-charging leader with proven creative and management abilities who is passionate about our mission and will lead the team to deliver great impact. As we enter our 21st year, it's an exciting time to join the leadership team. This is a full-time opportunity reporting directly to the CEO based in our Washington DC, New York or London offices. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Communications and Marketing Leadership: Develop and implement a world-class, creative and strategic communications and marketing strategy that propels the organization's mission and goals, builds ONE's profile and identifies new channels, partnerships and platforms to reach and engage priority audiences in key markets and globally. Brand Management: Oversee the organization's brand identity and ensure consistency in messaging across all platforms. Lead initiatives to strengthen brand recognition and reputation globally. Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate, build and sustain strong strategic partnerships with private, public and nonprofit organizations that share our mission and objectives and are committed to driving impact. Digital Marketing: Drive the organization's digital marketing strategy, including social media, email campaigns, website management, and SEO. Utilize analytics to measure effectiveness and optimize performance. Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including funders, partners, and the community. Develop communication strategies to engage and inform these groups effectively. Events and Campaigns Oversight: Proactively create ONE's event and campaign strategy for innovative events with maximum impact, cost effective execution, and excellent brand reinforcement. Create and drive the execution of events and campaigns, leveraging our staff, sponsors and partners in coordination with our market teams. Content Development: Oversee the creation of compelling content, including advertising, newsletters, reports, and promotional materials. Ensure all content aligns with the organization's mission and resonates with target audiences. Market Research: Implement market research tools to help ONE better understand and define its audiences and measure the success of its marketing and communications initiatives. Fundraising Support: Work closely with the fundraising team to develop marketing campaigns and communications that drive funder engagement, increase contributions, and promote fundraising events. Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing creative/marketing/branding/communications team. Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members. Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to achieve strategic objectives. Crisis Communications: Develop and implement crisis communication strategies to effectively manage and mitigate the impact of unforeseen events on the organization's reputation. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and transparent messaging to stakeholders during crises. WHAT YOU BRING TO ONE Passion and hunger for our mission and the desire to work hard to make an impact. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in brand management, strategic and creative communications, marketing, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within the nonprofit sector. C-level experience a plus. Proven track record of developing successful marketing strategies and campaigns that drive engagement and fundraising. Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and best practices, including social media, content marketing, and analytics. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and build relationships. Experience in brand management and reputation building in a global context. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Ability to manage multiple, shifting priorities under tight deadlines while performing in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Related work history in poverty and infectious disease alleviation, advocacy, policy, legislation and/or demonstrable interest in the causes ONE supports is a plus. Consumer product marketing is a plus. Authorization to work in the US or the UK is required. Fluency in other languages such as French and German is a plus. TRAVEL: Travel up to 25%. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Job is a hybrid position, with the expectation of being in the Washington DC, New York or UK office three days per week. COMPENSATION: $200,000 - $250,000 per year This salary range is based on compensation survey data for similar organizations and is used to set pay internally at ONE. Where a new hire's salary falls within this range is based on a variety of factors, including the budget available for this position.
