Love Pomelo Is Looking For A talented And Passionate Junio Sous Chef. Key Responsibilities: 1. Food Preparation and Cooking Oversee food preparation and ensure dishes meet quality and presentation standards. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to recipes and specifications. Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation. Assist in menu planning and recipe development. 2. Kitchen Management and Supervision Supervise kitchen staff, including Commis and Line Cooks, ensuring smooth workflow. Assign tasks and ensure efficient kitchen operations during service. Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management. Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and maintained properly. 3. Hygiene, Health and Safety Enforce hygiene and sanitation regulations in the kitchen (HACCP compliance). Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment. Monitor food storage, labeling, and waste reduction. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. 4. Team Leadership and Training Support and train junior kitchen staff, helping them develop their skills. Foster a positive and cooperative kitchen environment. Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff. Assist in scheduling staff shifts and managing workload distribution. 5. Quality Control and Customer Satisfaction Conduct quality checks on dishes before they leave the kitchen. Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to improve food offerings. Handle special requests and dietary requirements with precision. Required Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef. Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience. Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment. Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen best practices. Leadership skills and ability to manage a team under pressure. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Work Environment and Conditions: Fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment. Long shifts, including weekends and holidays. Standing for extended periods and handling hot equipment.
