Transport Services Aide - UPMC Washington

Responsibilities: * Utilizes proper mode of transportation (ambulation, wheelchair, stretcher). * Adheres to department standards for response time. * Assists with transport of patients for admission and/or discharge. * Utilizes proper equipment and technique to provide for safety during transport. * Utilizes and supports a communication system which ensures an accurate flow of information to unit personnel. * Uses established methods and procedures for cleaning or preparing the patient area. * Collects, transports, and delivers assigned items. * In accordance with department policy utilizes BedWatch and the associated technology to self-dispatch, document delays, and for communication. * Properly identifies each patient using two (2) patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient is transported. Schedule: Rotating days, weekends, and holidays. Rotating shifts that include: 6AM-2:30PM, 7AM-3:30PM, 8AM-4:30PM, 9AM-5:30PM, 11AM-7:30PM, 2:30PM-11PM, 10:30PM-7AM, 5:30PM-2AM.
