Baker Assistant

GROWING HOSPITALITY WEST VILLAGE BASED HOSPITALITY GROUP   is looking for Baker Assistant! Responsibilities: Prepare and bake a diverse range of baked goods, including breads, pastries, cakes, and cookies, following established recipes and techniques. Ensure the quality, taste, and appearance of all baked products meet our high standards. Assist in developing and testing new recipes and variations to keep our offerings fresh and exciting. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following strict food safety and sanitation guidelines. Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies, and communicate with the management team for timely replenishment. Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth bakery operations, from preparation to baking to packaging. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Baker/Pastry Cook in a bakery, pastry shop, restaurant or similar setting. Strong understanding of baking techniques, ingredient functions, and recipe scaling in the preparation of yeasted breads and pastries, as well as chemically leavened cakes and cookies. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team. Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends and holidays (except Christmas and Thanksgiving)
