Kennywood's rich history spans generations of good times and extends beyond the traditional summer season with popular Halloween and Holiday events.We are currently looking for a:Kennywood - Events & Entertainment Senior SupervisorRoles & Responsibilities:The Events & Entertainment Senior Supervisor will assist in the planning and execution of events, shows, character interactions, and atmospheric entertainment to complement parkwide content and increase overall guest satisfaction.Roles & Responsibilities:Supervisory Duties:Supervise the daily operations of the Events & Entertainment team and any other assigned departmentsLead by example, attitude, and as a representation of Kennywood's core valuesAct as an approachable mentor and coach to all assigned team membersEnsure compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe and productive environment for colleagues and guestsBecome knowledgeable of performing the essential duties of all events-related positions and backfill these positions when neededParticipate in all aspects of supervision of assigned employees, including hiring, orientation, training, performance coaching, and disciplineEnsure that all required meal and other breaks are being given in accordance with Pennsylvania lawAssist with team scheduling and timekeeping activitiesDepartmental Duties:Collaborate with park and corporate events leadership to evaluate current Events & Entertainment strategies at [KennywoodManage the conceptualization, planning and execution of multiple events, concurrentlyBecome knowledgeable of all events that are scheduled at the park to align with all Sales & Marketing events promotionsMaintain Park event calendar, ensures its data accuracy, and makes any necessary adjustmentsAssist with the execution of live stage shows and other performancesEnsure strict compliance with all safety policies and procedures during eventsManage event & activation operations for scheduled in-park eventsEnsure effective communication and coordination with park operations teams to deliver best in class prior to, day of, and post event executionProactively address and resolve any unexpected issues that may occur during eventProvide solution-based ideas to quickly and creatively resolve problemsPromptly escalate any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or emergencies to the proper authoritiesAll other duties assigned by leadershipLanguage: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.Education & Experience:High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferredAttending or graduated College in Theatre or Fine Arts preferred but not required• Requirements:Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with Pennsylvania Child Labor LawsAbility to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and open to close.Must be able to work nights during certain eventsMust have reliable transportation to and from work for your scheduled shiftMust possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional mannerAbility to handle high-pressure situations in a positive and professional manner, meet the demands of constant deadlines and coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.Must possess and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility and desire to participate in delivering successful and high-quality eventsAbility to follow direction, multi-task, handle stress, and work as part of a fast-paced teamPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workdayAbility to remain sedentary for periods of time, while using a computerAbility to occasionally stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shouldersAbility to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 50 pounds or moreAbility to safely climb or descend stairs and/or laddersWorking Conditions:This role will be based in both an office setting as well as frequent interaction with all outdoor and indoor areas of the parkExtended work hours during event preparation and execution may be requiredFrequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, snow, ice, and other weather conditionsSubject to frequent interruptions, changing priorities, constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, flashing lights, and heavily populated environmentsTeam member benefits:Working at Kennywood is about making people happy!
