Morning Prep Cook position! Be part of a brand new fast-paced chaotic fine dining restaurant in the East Village. You'll prep an innovative and playful 6-course tasting menus for a communal table of 16. This is a part-time position and service is currently 25 hours a week Responsibilities: Assisting Executive Chef and Line Cooks with the preparation and planning of tasting menus Knife Skills Ability to work under pressure Maintain safe, sanitary and organized work stations. Food Safety Knowledge. Show up on time and respect the schedule Qualifications: 2 to 3+ years' experience as a Prep Cook Motivated and self-directed Excellent time management Teamwork-oriented with a positive attitude Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices Physical Aspects of the Prep Cook Role: Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
