Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Level 1 Software Embedded Developer to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be involved in the development and maintenance of software for broadband devices, including but not limited to DOCSIS, PON, and Wi-Fi technologies. This role is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level professional looking to grow their skills and career in embedded software development within a cutting-edge technology environment. Responsibilities Develop and maintain embedded software for broadband devices, ensuring performance and reliability. Collaborate with senior engineers to design, implement, and test software components for DOCSIS, PON, and Wi-Fi technologies. Assist in debugging and troubleshooting software issues related to broadband device firmware. Participate in code reviews, contributing to the overall quality and maintainability of the codebase. Work closely with hardware engineers to integrate and optimize software for specific device architectures. Perform unit testing and validation of software components to ensure compliance with project requirements. Document software designs, implementation details, and testing procedures. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 1-2 years experience in embedded software development. Basic knowledge of broadband communication technologies (DOCSIS, PON, Wi-Fi) is preferred but not required. Programming Languages: Proficiency in C and C++ for embedded systems. Operating Systems: Experience with embedded Linux or real-time operating systems (RTOS). Communication Protocols: Basic understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, and other network protocols. Broadband Technologies: Familiarity with DOCSIS, PON, and Wi-Fi standards and protocols. Debugging Tools: Experience with debugging tools such as GDB, JTAG, and oscilloscopes. Version Control: Experience with Git or other version control systems.
