System Programmer/Administrator (Oracle Cloud Implementation) Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a System Programmer/Administrator for the Office of Information Technology. Under the direction of a Director for Enterprise Application Services (EAS), this position will be responsible for the integration of Oracle Cloud ERP and Oracle Cloud HCM with integration partners, both external and internal to Rutgers University. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Acts as Oracle Financial Cloud applications(s) SME and for functional area(s) providing best practice guidance on process and implementation approaches. Researches and evaluates the need for potential new and/or additional modules, applications or upgrades and provides recommendations to help improve business processes. Provides solutions to complex business problems for areas of responsibility where analysis requires knowledge of technology, industry requirements and/or business functions. Collaborates with integration partners, both internal and external, to identify and resolve any integration issues. Works closely with business areas to troubleshoot production issues, identifies and recommends solutions. Logs SRs and works with Oracle support as needed, develops new codes or modifies code as necessary. Coordinates testing with end users. Reviews the Oracle release documents to identify any upcoming changes that may impact current integrations such as file layout, new or renamed fields, field size changes. Develops technical documentation and requirements for integration partners to be used in the retro fit of their existing code. Works closely with the functional leads to help coordinate testing and implementation. Creates and maintains project plans to manage integration changes and testing with integration partner. Works closely with the functional leads to understand business requirements as new modules and functionality are introduced where integration automation may be impacted (new or modified). Reviews others system designs to ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources and integration of multiple systems and technology. Develops solution scope and makes implementation recommendations. Develops detailed implementation and upgrade project plans in conjunction with team members. Troubleshoots and analyzes, reconciles, validates and/or isolates issues, identify process issues and errors. Develops and deploys solutions and perform various tests (unit, system integration and regression). Designs and documents system work-around solutions as needed. Maintains growing knowledge of all modules and new features to provide accurate and timely resolutions to users of the systems. Tracks, logs and updates issues in issue tracking and ticketing systems such as JIRA and ServiceNow to analyze problems and provide appropriate resolution. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree with relevant systems experience. A minimum of five years progressive experience in an analytical and programming environment with an emphasis on integration of enterprise systems with internal and external entities as well as third party systems. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Experience with Oracle ERP. Ability to understand complex, integrated, state-of-the-art and legacy computer systems. Must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud, Web Services. Relational and hierarchical database concepts and design. Experience with Unix scripting, developing and consuming web services: RESTful, SOAP, WSD; web technologies (Http, FTP, etc). Experience designing, developing, supporting and delivering integration solutions. Oracle RDBMS. Experience with Eclipse, Git, CVS, JIRA, and Confluence. Structured programming techniques. A good understanding of software SDLC. Experience with Oracle Identity Management for the Cloud, provisioning/deprovisioning. Ability to develop innovative approaches and solutions to complex problems. Knowledge of EDI and common XML standards (XCBL, CXML). Knowledge of JAVA platform programming techniques.
