STV currently has an opening in our South Carolina office for a Geotechnical Engineering Chief to join our firm to work as part of our Transportation & Infrastructure Division. Candidates will also have the ability to work remotely if desired. Responsibilities: Be part of go/no-go team reviews and provide technical oversight of proposal preparation. Provide leadership and mentorship and development of geotechnical staff. Provide oversight, direction, and leadership for geotechnical projects. Assist in developing strategic approach projects with heavy geotechnical focus. Facilitate collaboration between various regions with the geotechnical team. Establish and develop teaming relationships with other consulting firms as necessary. Help identify, attract, and assist in recruiting additional geotechnical staff. Provide technical oversight, recommend design concepts, perform peer reviews, and develop solutions and methodologies. Qualifications: Minimum B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering. Minimum of 20 years of geotechnical related experience. Professional registration in at least one state and willingness to register in other states if needed. Thoroughly knowledgeable of geotechnical design and construction, including geotechnical and foundation engineering, and tunneling methods and techniques. Membership with relevant professional organizations and active participation in national tunneling and/or geotechnical associations. Publications in technical journals and conferences and seminars. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strategic thinker, with demonstrated collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment and gain the support of others. Compensation Range: 230,531.18 - $288,163.97 Don't meet every single requirement?
