Our team is 100% remote and we work with teams across North America, South America, and Europe to help them hire. Salary Range: $180,000-$250,000 plus 0% - 1% equity. Our client is looking for a Founding Member of Technical Staff with a background in systems engineering (esp. Rust). Why not "engineer"? Our client is not going to make a distinction between engineers and researchers to encourage people to have cross-functional scope and impact. The CTO has a PhD in reinforcement learning but also writes infrastructure code in Rust. Our clients' model gateway, written in Rust, is the backbone of the project. As a preview, if you joined today, you'd work on features ranging from inference-time optimizations (e.g. dynamic in-context learning) to advanced experimentation ("built-in Statsig"). You can learn more about our clients' technical roadmap and vision here . Role responsibilities: Build infrastructure for inference, observability, optimization, and experimentation. Candidate requirements: Able to work in-person with the team 5 days/week in NYC. 0+ years of experience Rust or ClickHouse experience. Broadly looking for senior/staff SWE but open to exceptional junior candidates (even top 1% fresh grads). Experience tackling hard technical problems, comfortable driving large projects from 0-1. Strong backend experience, especially with Rust. Nice-to-haves: CS degree from a top university (Stanford, MIT, Ivies, CMU, etc.). Experience working in a high-growth startup. #J-18808-Ljbffr
