Production Supervisor- Zanesville MillThe Production Supervisor at our Zanesville Mill is a member of the plant leadership team and plays a crucial role in providing management and leadership to deliver business results and operational improvements. Through collaboration with cross-functional teams, you will prioritize team workload and drive continuous improvement at our Zanesville Mill. In addition, as a shift supervisor, you will coach your team members in technical and behavioral competencies, delivering high-impact business results.Compensation: $80,000 - $115,000, including salary and potential bonuses earnedShifts: 10-hour daily shifts, some overtime required.Job Responsibilities of a Production Supervisor:Leads plant or shift production workersDirects and coordinates department or shift production activities, including scheduling adequate staff to operate the lineSupervises all plant safety rules and regulations and provides safety orientation and trainingEnforces complianceDrives a culture of continuous improvementEmployee development and annual performance reviewsDocuments incidents, disciplinary actions, and accident/injury reports when neededAssists in developing job proceduresInspects material for quality defectsAssists in the training of new team members. Develops a training plan for all production positions and ensure that employees are appropriately trained in any area that they are assigned.Requirements for a Production Supervisor:Education: High School diploma or bachelor's degree preferredExperience: 2-4 years of supervisory, management, or team lead experienceSkills and abilities which my be representative but not all-inclusive of those commonly associated with this position:Apply principles of logical thinking to define the problem, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsSome relevant manufacturing experienceAbility to coach, mentor, and inspire your team and co-workersAbility to troubleshoot processes and equipmentComputer literacyTake the initiative to get things doneMust have excellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenEmployee BenefitsIndependent Stave Company offers competitive compensation and benefits to employees at each of our facilities.
