Prepare, package and ship outbound orders to customers and vendors. Receive product for inventory and production orders. Manage and organize raw materials and finished goods in-house inventories. Primary Responsibilities:Receiving TasksPhysically receive FedEx, UPS and LTL shipmentsUnpack each box, skid, and crate and inspect contents for quantity and qualityExamine contents and compare with records, such as packing slips, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy of incoming shipmentRecord shipment data, such as damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and record keeping purposesShipping TasksExamine contents and compare with records, such as packing slips, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy of outgoing shipmentWrap, pack and seal products to prepare materials for shipping using work devices such as hand tools and power toolsGenerate Shipment label using a computer and UPS shipping softwareLabel and attach identifying tags to product packaging, or mark them with identifying informationSecure cargo to skids using banding equipment, fasteners, and plastic shrink wrapDesign and build custom pallets and crates to protect machinery and equipment during transitPhysically load boxes, skids, crates, and custom machinery into vans, semi-trailers, or flat beds using a forklift, pallet truck, or cartRequest, maintain inventory, and store shipping materials and suppliesMaintain the cleanliness of the shipping area by cleaning and organizing daily at the end of the shiftRequired Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesMust be organized and efficient with the ability to improve the existing processes in shipping and receivingAbility to record items correctly and inform purchasing when inventories are low for reorderingAbility to operate heavy lifting equipment such as various fork lifts and cranes and posses a forklift certificationSkill in palletizing, stacking, and otherwise placing and arranging items in storage locations in consideration of their size, shape, weight, quantity, type, stock number, letter and number codes, and other storage factors Ability to use hand and power tools (hammer, drill, hand saw, ect.) to assemble pallets, product containers, and cratesAbility to work from 8am- 5pm, M-F and overtime as needed.Productivity with attention to detail is very important in this positionAccuracy and adherence to policies and procedures is essential.Must have a superb work ethic including adherence to all attendance policiesMust be committed and dedicated to teamwork
