Job Title: 1858 SupervisorPay Rate: $22-$27.00 per hour inclusive of hourly pay rate + service charge**$22-$27.00 per hour based on a $12 per hour base wage + service charge commission paid per shift; historically, this position averages service charge commission earnings of $10-$15 per hour. Service charges are commissions and will fluctuate based on events and time of year.This position always earns at least the current Colorado minimum wage $14.81 per hour. Learn more about Broadmoor here.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned)Develop and execute training initiatives and procedures for all staff positions in accordance with Forbes/AAA inspection standards and Broadmoor Standards of ExcellenceExecute service duties in accordance with Forbes/AAA inspection standards and Broadmoor Standards of ExcellenceOversee operations of the 1858 Resolve guest complaints regarding food, beverage or serviceAccount for and record all comp ticket information for each shiftReport to Manager on guest and staff activities for each shiftMonitor and coach staff as needed to ensure compliance with service standards, spotter standards, Forbes/AAA inspection standards and hotel policiesSchedule, deploy and/or cut staff based on daily and/or immediate business needsCheck reservations for special parties and verify complete instructions for said partiesPresent appropriate menus to guests and offer recommendations and descriptions for the purpose of assisting and up-selling the menusAssist in the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and training of new employees Assist Chef de Cuisine and Manager with menu development for food and beveragesAssist server in retrieving items from the kitchen and bar and serve as neededAssist the bartender as neededAssist the bus persons with clearing and resetting of tables as neededEnsure station and side work duties are complete prior to staff departureAssist manager with monthly inventoryOversee ongoing required and necessary maintenance, sanitation, and upkeep to maintain the quality of the restaurant.Maintain knowledge of, abide by, and enforce Colorado liquor lawsAssist the Manager with weekly scheduling of staffAssist with monitoring and evaluating staff performanceAssist with issuing formal discipline as neededAssist manager with monthly P&L reportsAudit daily staff timecards to ensure all punches are correct and transfer staff wages to other departments according to Work Authorization formsFacilitate hotel orientation classes as needed by HR Training DepartmentActively participate in ongoing training programs through HR Training DepartmentEnsure that all appropriate paperwork is completed and turned in including time logs, comp logs and shift reportsEnsure that all pertinent information is communicated to supervisor or manager of upcoming shift(s) through daily logOrder and/or requisition products and supplies and maintains stock levels appropriately based on business needs and budgetsMake decisions on the Manager's behalf when he/she and the Lead Supervisor is absent Candidate Qualifications Should also include the followingWillingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentUphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelinesOther duties as assigned. What we are looking for:High school diploma or GED.
