FACILITY SUPERVISOR 3

The Position Facility Supervisors/Managers plan, organize and direct buildings and grounds maintenance, repair, custodial work, security functions, and fleet maintenance and supervise skilled and semi-skilled staff. Incumbents function as first-line supervisors who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; assign and review work; and initiate disciplinary action. Under limited supervision, the Facility Supervisor 3 is responsible for overseeing a team of skilled trades workers engaged in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing tasks, particularly during major remodeling projects. This position involves coordinating and monitoring contracted maintenance services, directing contractors performing major repairs, alterations, and construction projects, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
