The Executive Director position for our client involves overseeing the operations and strategic direction of the historic site in Hartford, Connecticut. The museum, once the home of Samuel Langhorne Clemens (Mark Twain), is dedicated to preserving the legacy of the famous author and educating the public about his life and works. Since opening as a museum in 1974, the organization has undergone significant restoration and expansion, including the addition of a museum center in 2003. The Executive Director will be responsible for continuing to uphold the museum's mission and engaging with the community to promote its programs and events.The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in nonprofit management, fundraising, and historic preservation.
