The Opportunity Our Field Service Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the team continues to be at the forefront of Field Operations at Flock Safety. As a Field Service Supervisor, you will mentor a group of Traveling Technicians, communicate wins and roadblocks, and set the pace and quality for your team. Flock is searching for a strong field technician with a track record of effective peer leadership and all-season exterior installation experience. Reporting to the Field Manager, the Field Service Supervisor will be responsible for the quality and consistency of the work our travel installation technicians deliver daily. They will supervise a team of travel technicians working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to minimize the time it takes for customers to see value from Flock, maximize the potential for solving crime through highly performant hardware and maintain a world-class customer experience throughout the process. This role is a player/coach and carries similar physical and travel requirements as their supervised Installation Technicians. This role will have a direct impact on the success of the Field Operations team at Flock Safety. The Skillset How you'll make an impact: * Lead the 'tip of the spear' for Flock Safety Field Service. * Lead small teams (3-5) on large projects with tight deadlines, complex operational constraints, and high customer visibility. * Complete High touch, advanced pole installations, and bucket truck work as required. * Collaborate with Flight Field Manager to fill resource gaps nationwide by utilizing your team's resources (self-included). * Oversee and coordinate your team's onboarding, training, scheduling, resource availability, and travel arrangements. * Oversee and complete on-the-job training within your assigned team. * Develop and maintain a robust results-driven team #culture. * Steer a high-availability, rapid-response team through exponential growth and competing resource demands. * Communicate opportunities and recommendations for modification or improvements to processes to ensure optimum efficiency of the deployed company assets. * Perform any other duties as assigned. We're looking for people who: * Meet the job requirement of currently working as a Field Technician with Flock Safety and at a minimum of six months * Clean driving record going back three years, and ability to complete basic background checks and drug screenings. * This role requires you to be 21+ to rent a vehicle. * This role requires frequent/continuous bending, digging, reaching, climbing, squatting, sitting, standing, walking, driving, and independently lifting up to 50 lbs. * Flock Safety technician familiar with multiple operating environments. * Experience leading and building teams. * Excellent judgment in customer relations and managing company resources. * Strong written and communication skills in order to communicate with all levels of management. * Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. * Ability to work as a team member and interact with other departments. * Computer and mobile device proficiency, Google products specifically. * Experience operating man lifts and bucket trucks. * Comfortable working on and around ladders/heights. * Able to think on your feet and while using your hands. * Highly organized and intrinsically motivated. * Positive and professional demeanor. * Willingness to go outside your comfort zone when the situation requires it. Required Availability: M-F during daylight hours. Overtime is, at times, expected and required based on the particular market's ticket backlog and unique requirements. Start and end times will vary based on the time of year (solar-constrained) and the workload. Travel: Expect to travel weekly, Monday through Friday, at times including weekends, to perform installation activities across the US.
