Job Description We are looking for an experienced SAP Solution Manager with a background in SAP infrastructure management to lead the oversight and optimization of our SAP landscape. You have expertise in managing hardware, operating systems, networks, and performing SAP system upgrades. This role is critical to ensuring our SAP environment is reliable, secure, and meets the evolving needs of the business. Main Responsibilities SAP Landscape Management :Manage the entire SAP technical landscape, including hardware, operating systems, and network infrastructure. Use SAP Solution Manager for monitoring, administration, and optimization of SAP systems, ensuring operational stability and performance. Coordinate with IT infrastructure teams to ensure understanding of SAP systems with broader enterprise architecture and IT policies. System Upgrades and Maintenance :Plan, schedule, and implement SAP system upgrades, including support pack updates, enhancement packs, and kernel updates. Manage infrastructure readiness for SAP HANA and ECC environments, ensuring system compatibility with new updates and configurations. Collaborate with SAP Basis and application teams to build upgrades with minimal change to business operations. Hardware and OS Management :Manage the hardware and OS configurations that support SAP environments, ensuring performance and resource use. Work with hardware and OS teams to address issues related to performance, scalability, and security for SAP systems. Plan for future capacity needs and perform routine maintenance of hardware, operating systems, and networks. Network and Security Management :Ensure SAP systems are integrated securely with our network and follow best practices for data protection and security. Work with network teams to ensure connectivity and optimized performance across SAP applications. Implement and monitor network security measures, ensuring SAP systems are compliant with internal policies and industry regulations. Configure and maintain SAP Solution Manager for functions like system monitoring, root cause analysis, incident management, and change control. Use Solution Manager to automate system monitoring, set up alerts, and increase infrastructure for high availability. Promote analysis features within Solution Manager to provide insights into system performance and support continuous improvement. Collaboration and Team Management :Collaborate with teams including Basis, IT infrastructure, and network teams to align technical solutions with our needs. Work with team members to understand and support their requirements in the SAP environment. Be the contact for infrastructure-related SAP issues, ensuring quick resolution and minimal growth. Qualifications Experience :5+ years of experience in SAP infrastructure management, including hardware, OS, and network management for SAP environments. Experience managing SAP upgrades, support packs, and system maintenance. Hands-on experience with SAP Solution Manager, including system monitoring and performance analysis. Technical Skills :Proficiency in SAP Basis, SAP HANA administration, and Solution Manager configuration. Experience with hardware, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and networking protocols as they relate to SAP environments. Experience with virtualization and cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Project and Process Management :Experience in planning, managing SAP infrastructure upgrades and technical projects. Familiarity with IT service management and incident/change management processes, ITIL-certified. Preferred Qualifications ITIL certification or experience with IT service management practices.
