PROGRAM AND JOB DESCRIPTION: The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) seeks a dynamic Director of Programmatic Fiscal Affairs to join its Bureau of the Controller in the Division of Finance. DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO: Assume oversight responsibility for the respective units of Cash Management, Miscellaneous Payments, and bureau-wide reporting and fiscal data analysis. Engage in cost analysis and feasibility studies of public health intervention programs. Perform economic evaluations and health impact assessments. Generate financial variance reports. Lead research projects related to staff compensation and program model assessments. Collaborate with divisions within DOHMH to improve process efficiencies. Ensure compliance with all applicable standards and directives. Guide preparation of reports on expenses and obligations. Coordinate special projects as needed. A master's degree from an accredited college or university with a specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological or environmental science or in public health. To be appointed to Assignment Level II and above, candidates must have: A doctorate degree with specialization in an appropriate field and one year of relevant experience; or A master's degree and three years of relevant experience; or Equivalent education and/or experience. Residency Requirement New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment.
