Job Summary This position is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of one or more large-scale/complex projects to meet business goals, spanning multiple technologies including associated schedule and cost. The individual executes PSEG IT processes and applies project management principles to lead the successful delivery of projects valued greater than $2M with 12 or more project resources. Facilitates collaboration between project leadership, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to align project strategy and ensure all groups are moving towards desired outcomes. Job Responsibilities Program Execution - Manage project tasks involving multiple functional areas to deliver projects on scope, schedule, and budget. Identify schedules, milestones and resources required to meet project objectives, primarily through coordinating the activities with other departments and Vendors. Process Adherence - Manage program/subprojects through various stage gates and processes ensuring adherence to the Stage Gate Process. Stakeholder Engagement - Use effective people engagement skills to drive contact with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to manage expectations, establish timelines, and grow relationships. Ensure alignment on scope, value proposition and overall project goals. Work with functional departments to coordinate systems testing, deployment, training, and support. Resource Management - Work closely with internal departments to allocate the necessary resources for each project. Track and communicate progress - Provide project status report updates to project stakeholders. RAID Management - Identify, develop mitigation plans, and monitor to drive timely and effective escalation and risk/issue resolution. Anticipate issues and/or complications, and respond well to time pressures. Track dependencies and risks, and assess change impact across interdependent workstreams and projects. Capture all pertinent actions and decisions. Project Artifact Management - Facilitate project tailoring and artifact development to align with project management processes in accordance with project sizing. Job Specific Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree with at least 6 years of relevant work experience, or, in lieu of a degree, 8 years of relevant work experience. Understanding of and experience with IT project management methodologies, requirements management, quality assurance and IT processes from project inception to successful implementation. Understanding of financial principles including experience with project financial budgeting and planning. Strong communication, organization, and facilitation skills. Effective presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences. Experience managing outsourced vendors (on and off shore). Strong judgment and analytical ability. Leadership, teamwork and interpersonal skills. Ability to foster working relationships with the team, IT Management and functional departments. General understanding of technology platforms and ability to explain technical concepts to the business users in the context of business requirements. Proven track record of delivering multiple projects exceeding $2M in value. Ability to identify and quantify risks and subsequent impacts to project success. Desired Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field (i.e. science, technology, engineering or math or Computer Science).
