Investment Banking Vice President - Software M&A

Selby Jennings is working with an Investment Bank focused on Middle Market Software transactions. This Investment Bank has a boutique DNA, working under a large platform and is looking to bring a qualified Vice President to their team in Los Angeles. This banker would work with the Head of Software, with a team comprised of sharp individuals. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage M&A transactions from inception to completion, including deal sourcing, due diligence, valuation, negotiation, and closing. Develop and maintain relationships with key industry players, including software companies, private equity firms, and venture capitalists. Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify potential acquisition targets and industry trends. Prepare and deliver presentations, pitch books, and other marketing materials to clients and potential investors. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, accounting, and tax advisors, to ensure seamless execution of transactions. Mentor and develop junior team members, providing guidance and support throughout the deal process. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in investment banking, with a focus on M&A in the software industry. Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to clients and stakeholders. Proven track record of successfully managing and closing M&A transactions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
