Grounds Maintenance Technician I

GROUNDS MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (Public Works): Performs general grounds maintenance technician duties including, but not limited to mowing, weed eating, landscaping and general maintenance of County properties, parks, roadways, boat landings and related facilities.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:   *     High school diploma or equivalent *     Must possess and maintain valid driver's license *    One year of prior experience in landscaping and/or grounds maintenanceAll applicants tentatively selected for a position with Beaufort County Council will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for the illegal use of drugs and to a background check prior to appointment. Employment is contingent upon clearing both the drug screening and background investigation. Beaufort County is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
